The pier at Shired Island has a lot to offer. There's room for boats to dock along the pier, a great sitting area over the water, spots for swimming and fishing, a great pavilion and grilling area, plenty of beach space, restrooms, and even RV hookup spots.

This is probably the best beach camping between Cedar Key and Steinhatchee. There's a long fishing pier, and when the tide is in, the beach is nice. It gets busy on weekends, of course.
