Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) offers the underutilised science fiction setting for its MMO game world compared to the popular fantasy world of most MMO titles on the market. First launched in 2011 the game was able to achieve over a million subscribers within a few days and eventually transitioned into a mixture of paid and free options.
Content comes out at a fairly slow pace compared to other MMOs, and when it does it's often small bits of content. In my opinion, SWTOR hasn't really been a true MMORPG since Shadow of Revan, and even then there were signs that it was starting to slow down.
