11-16 LML Duramax Powertrain P2510 Starter click, no start ... Hey all, just went to go start my truck not too long after driving it and all I got was a starter click, no crank, along with P2510 and an intermittent "Service Theft Deterrent System" message on the DIC. I tried the spare key and no luck.

LML runs a few seconds then dies. Preparing for the full delete and tunes, I installed a Fass 150 last week. Truck started and ran fine since. Yesterday I installed the S&B and a fuel filter delete. Also drilled manifold and installed egt probe. After heavy cranking the truck will start and run a few seconds then die.Didn't die, but would hiccup every other block or so. The only code it has ever thrown when this happens is P0336 which is Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance. My LML would pretty much instantly start within less than a second of cranking when not freezing cold. I'll have to time them and see if there is really a significant difference or just seems like a long time to me.Remove the weight off the suspension and turning the T-bolts is not that difficult. Before you start measure fender height at the center of the wheel. Do 4 turns and take it for a short drive to let it settle. Drive it back into the garage and re-measure to determine if you need to crank a little more.

Using a test light, check the small wire on the starter for power when the key is turned to start. If it has signal from the key every time then the problem is the starter. It is the fuel that lubricates the fuel pump and also cools the pump, and when you have neither, what you get is a fule pump that doesn't work as it should. When it goes into reduced engine, the ECM turns off the injector on the cylinder that is knocking, and it goes away.
