It has always been very accurate and reliable, save for needing a new mag catch which Kimber provided awhile back. Yesterday I was giving it some exercise when suddenly the slide locked up halfway open. I can pull it back, but it will not go forward more than about half.Smart move. Kimber discontinued the Micro because it was a POS. Kimber is the new Colt. Colt quality went to pot in the late 80's when they farmed everything out to save money. Then they continued to demand top dollar because they are Colt. The All American was Colt's Micro. It was a turd from the get go and Colt could not give them away.The slide stop is a slightly abbreviated version of the full-sized piece, and it works well for its intended role. Some used it as a slide release without issue. The Micro 9 Rapide (Black Ice) takes its styling cues from Kimber’s full-size Rapide (Black Ice) Model 1911 available in 9mm, 10mm and .45 ACP for $1,665.From hanging out on the Kimber Talk forum, it has become standard to break-in the Micro 9 with 124gr ammo as has been mentioned. Also, shoot the thing 'wet' during break-in, firm wrist and tight grip. Another trick is to use a Dremel with felt tip and Flitz to polish the feed ramp and inside of the chamber.I'm going to suggest you contact Kimbers customer service and discuss the problem with them. There were a series of Micro's put out with defective slide stops and Kimber was able to recognize the problem and simply sent out new slide stops to the owners.
