The scam, simply put, is that the customer picks up their own delivery order. The customer orders a delivery through door dash right outside the restraunt and puts a $0 tip so no actual drivers will pick up the order too quickly. When the order is ready, they either pose as a driver or pose as a self pick-up to get their food. This is atrocious. DoorDash should be sued. They are exploiting humans. ALL Drivers are being exploited by DoorDash. Hourly and those of us expected to deliver $3.50 for 12 miles & if you decline. You’re punished by being sent worse orders like $4.50 for 20 miles.
